Spring 2020: Josh’s parole hearing is in J̶u̶n̶e̶ ̶ September of 2020. In order to strengthen his chances for release, he needs letters that attest to his character and the support he’ll have once he’s home. You can write a letter on your own addressed to the parole board, but sent to Josh. There are also online events (below) for people who want to spend time together writing letters. How do I know it made it?
Josh is responding to everyone he can. To ensure your letter makes it, we are asking that people take pictures of them or scan them, then email them to freejoshwilliams@gmail.com after you've written them.
Can I send from outside the US?
Yes! International support is huge.
Handwritten or printed?
Handwritten is preferred. If you can’t write the letter by hand, you can print it.
What if I don't know Josh?
You can still write a letter. I encourage you to read some of the articles on the website and think about the ways Josh and the people of St. Louis impacted your growth and understanding.
What should I say about me?
If you're comfortable providing information, your job title, degrees, etc. are all helpful.
What else should I put in the letter?
If you’re willing to provide material support to Josh after his release, please include it. This could be anything from resume reviewing, housing assistance, skill building, etc.

Josh loves comic books. He also likes books about Black freedom. You can send directly to him from retailers. He also wants pictures of what's happening right now and from the Ferguson protests. Pictures can't be sent with any writings, words, or letters... they must be separate.

Is there anywhere I can donate?
We're setting up a fund to support Josh once he's home. You'll receive an email when the account is setup.
